i thought the display was HD 1280×720? how come it became FWVGA 854×480?

Noticed this also. Going to have to double check to make sure they haven’t made a mistake.

From their website: 4,3″, IPS, 1280×720.

There seem to be a TD-SCDMA China Mobile (移动) version and a WCDMA China Unicom version. It’s listed running Android 4.2.2 with Lewa OS on top of it.

In two words: AWE-SOME. Quality/price beats by far anything in the market right now (not even 60 €!!! USD81 €!!! Oh my!).

HD 1280×720 in TD-SCDMA version – it is PenTile matrix and not OGS.
FWVGA 854×480 in WCDMA version – but made with OGS technology.

Thats bad. We are gonna pay more for a lower spec (resolution) phone. Still, its one of the best price-specs phone, but you feel cheated.

The video and the Chinese site mentions 720×1280, this article and English description on ejiayu.com says only 854×480… So, what the actual resolution is?

Why only 2100WCDMA? All of these chips are compatible with other frequencies but the Chinese seem intent on limiting international compatibility!!
Hope the GPS antenna is better than the standard G4 as well

JIAYU you can make the perfect designed phones and you can suck again, because of the lack of UMTS/WCDMA 900KHz as I’m writing in all my posts here in this great blog JIAYU need to put UMTS 900Mhz support for real if they want to triple their sells at least at Europe !!!

if the wcdma versions display is really 854×480 then it’s dead on arrival in my opinion, too many cheap MT6582 phones out there with HD displays to bother. Real shame
