Got a Xiaomi Mi3? Fancy a bite of KitKat? Then Mr Barra has some interesting news for you with the release of a new ROM for the flagship phone.

Gizchina News of the week

Earlier today Hugo Barra posted that Xiaomi Mi3 owners can now download the developer edition of MIUI based on Android 4.4 Kitkat for their devices. This being a dev version chances are pretty high that their are a few bugs to be ironed out, but thats a price many users are happy to pay to be the first to test out the latest MIUI features.

Mi3 owners can download and test the ROM right now (download link).

hey, i am also interested by the jiayu g4s. have you ordered the phone? what do you think about it? is it a great phone for its price? should i go for jiayu g4s or g5s? xiaomi released the hongmi 1S but it has only 1GB ram DDR2, just wondering if it is worth to buy it. the MI2S is a great phone but it is around 250€ with shipping. thanks. Yes yes it is, totally worth the price and then some. I think Andi’s review about vanilla G4 is still true while having better CPU and GPU.

        Very solid piece of hardware.

What about the MTK devices from Xiaomi? Will they be getting the KitKat update?
