Xiaomi MiPad real photos and intro video: Will this be your next Android device?

xiaomi mipad tablet

The Xiaomi MiPad Android tablet launched last week is a device many of us have been waiting for. After taking a look at these hands on photos with the tablet we ask “Could this be your next Android device?”.

As an iPad Mini user and fan of MIUI the idea of a Xiaomi tablet with similar iPad size has a great appeal. After months of rumours the MiPad is now official and with a killer spec which includes an Nvidia Tegra K1 processor and impressive cameras it certainly looks amazing on paper, however the lack of 3G/4G LTE is a disappointment.

Will you buy a Xiaomi MiPad?

Pricing in China will start at around $239 and rise to $272 for the 64GB model. Those are impressive prices considering the hardware and the design, but is the lack of data connection, and the difficulty in sourcing a MiPad, enough to put most buyers off?

Will you buy a Xiaomi MiPad? Or will you go for another option?

If only there is at least a 3g, I would buy it.

Without a 3g data ..senseless for India..and then the availability Internationally will not be before 2015..hence good for a read for me. I am in market for such a device but look for someone quicker to market.

Hope by the time Xiaomi enters india, there will be a 3G/LTE variant, then might be a good buy. But still kinda hate MIUI, hope xiaomi provides an alternative.

Same here. 3g/lte is a must 2014 when releasing new top of the line pads. I was hoping for this one but will now get a pipo p8 instead.

3G/LTE would be an issue if Xiaomi comes with an TS-CDMA only version first. I rather see technology like wireless charging and NFC which are already basic components in a N7 tablet.

So, what’s real? The photos or the video?
I know both is official but on the video the MiPad has soft touch buttons, on the photos not.
    Little bit confusing.

It looks beautiful, Battery is awesome, it probably works smooth, but I won’t buy it. The lack of HDMI port is a breakpoint for me.

Where to buy? Im eager to it, if the price remains good and resellers won’t take too much profit for it 😉

They are probably worried about cannibalizing their phone sales but still…what are they thinking?!?! Teclast, Cube, they all have 3G, even dual sim standby for under 1000RMB.
