FAEA have drastically reduced the retail price for their FAEA F2S Android smartphone and are now offering the handset for less than $130.

Earlier last year the FAEA F2S was one of the most talked about flagship Mediatek phones and although now the company seems to have stopped development of new devices the F2S still manages to attract customers thanks to it’s high specs and low price.

If you are not familiar with the hardware details of the F2S here is a quick overview of the phone. The screen is a 5-inch 1920 x 1080 panel, processor is a quad-core MT6589T SoC, there is 1GB RAM, 16GB memory, 13 mega-pixel camera, 5 mega-pixel front, NFC and OTG!

This would be a bargain phone, but for the fact that it can’t hold a signal at all!
    Maybe I just have a duff unit…?

It does happen, did you fix it or send it back?

I haven’t as yet – but I will be contacting Faea about it soon, and hopefully returning it. Would there be an easy fix for something like this, would you know? It’s a cheap, capable little handset otherwise – and one I’d love to keep as a spare.

Otherwise, I’m still waiting on a Oneplus One invite… but there again, aren’t we all? 😀

    What’s the better? MTK6589T or MTK6582?

You should go with 6582 😉 newer One with lower battery consumption.

    DO NOT BUY THIS PHONE

Horrible phone. I bought one to evaluate for myself and my company. Screen easily scratched, reboots multiple times per day. Touchscreen inoperative while charging. Randomly goes into airplane mode WHILE I AM ON A CALL. Already sent back once and came back with all the same problems even after talking to their sales.

    Move on.

Seems like a pretty good buy but I reading the past review from GizChina made me wary of it. I don’t like that it has a slow focus and is a really creaky phone. Does anyone know if there are some software updates that have made it better? For $130 it’s still not a horrible phone to consider.
