With Mediatek and Qualcomm dominating the smartphone market it is surprising to see Xolo opt for a Broadcom SoC for their entry-level Kitkat phone.

The Q600S is the latest smartphone from Xolo and has a few strong selling points including a sleek eye-catching design, Android 4.4 Kitkat, and wallet friendly price. Xolo have announced that customers in India will be able to order the Xolo Q600s from Snapdeal at a special price of only 7499 Rs (around $126).

The Xolo Q600s gets a 4.5-inch IPS OGS display with a qHD resolution, and Corning Gorilla Glass 3, the processor is a 1.2Ghz model, but rather than the usual Mediatek or Qualcomm SoC, Broadcom have been chosen to supply the quad-core processor.

Other features are a 5 mega-pixel main camera, 1GB RAM, 4GB memory, SD memory card, and 2000mAh battery. Those of you in India interested in picking up the new Xolo can take a look at the full details here.
