Xiaomi to make their first India announcement July 11th

In a Facebook post earlier today, Xiaomi India (Mi India) thanked their fans for their 'support' and said there would be an announcement on the 11th of this month, which is just about a week away from now.

The company has been quite a ninja with their India operations, after setting up a website and Facebook page with no official announcement. Earlier this year, Xiaomi India also recruited some high-profile employees to help with their functioning in the country. Since then, their Facebook page has been quite active with regular posts and giveaway contests to keep hopefuls involved.

We heard some days back that Xiaomi phones would be exclusively be available via Flipkart, which happens to be one among the top e-commerce portals in India. This, along with the models that are launched, we should learn about in the announcement on July 11th, so stay tuned!
