Xiaomi Mi4 specs “leaked”!

We have seen a lot of leaks and rumors about the Xiaomi Mi4 during the past few months. A lot of stuff has been told about the Xiaomi Mi4 specs. Rumors included a Snapdragon 801, a Snapdragon 810, a 5-inch 1080p screen, a 5.5-inch screen and many other details. We hope your not full though as new “leaked’ specs are here for your to indulge in.

Gizchina News of the week

An online store is listing the Xiaomi Mi4 with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 805 2.5GHz chipset, 3GB of RAM, 32GB of internal memory, a 16 megapixel rear shooter, a 3,200mAh battery and a 5.5-inch 2k screen working with a resolution of 2,560 x 1,440 pixels at a pixel density of 538ppi. Pricing is claimed to be $499, which we doubt as it is likely to be cheaper considering Xiaomi’s past price levels.

If the specifications are to be belived they mean the Mi4 will be a good flagship contender, not exatly the flagship some might have been hoping for but enought to give a fair fight.

Easily better build than Xiaomi? I think you’ve never held an Mi3 before. And CM11S has way more bugs than MIUI on Mi3. Do you even know what you’re saying?

agreed MIUI is way more stable than CM

Sorry dont agree at all. CM is less stable on third party devices than miui, I completely agree on that. But I have a one plus and the CM11s build on this has no bugs, have not found a single bug on this build, 100% stable. Not one, no crashes, nothing. Xiaomi forums are littered with posts about the huge amount of bugs on miui on xiaomi phones. There is a huge misconception that miui has no bugs. A fair few Redmi 1s users and many mi3 users have a significant number of issues with their handsets many of which are ignored as xiaomi try to add more features instead of bug fixes. Go to the english forums and read through, loads of posts. Many redmi 1s users facing battery drain issues, 3G reception problems. No xiaomi device runs the latest android version either apart from the mi3. mi2/mi2a/mi2s/redmi/redmi 1s/redmi note all on either 4.1/4.2 or 4.3. I hear also the mipad firmware has a fair few issues. Been a xiaomi fan for years, I own the first ever xiaomi device the m1 which had many firmware issues and also the redmi 1s and have used a mi3 before, they are well built devices i’m a fan like i say but I believe both oppo and one plus have better build quality. Oppos build quality in particular is second to none .Just my opinion

It all goes off personal experiences really doesnt it. I have had a MI2 that has worked without fault for years and MIUI is perfect on it. On the the hand my Find 7a screen died after a few weeks, and my OPO has the yellow screen banding (not that it really bothers me). CM11S is great on the OP but it all depends on what you are looking for. MIUI is feature packed CM11s isn’t.
Guess we have both been lucky/unlucky with our devices.

Yeah I agree, definitely a personal experience thing I would probably be saying the opposite if my experience had been like yours. I actually have the yellow banding on my one plus too but i saw a video on youtube that says it will disappear naturally over a few weeks or you can stick it in direct sunlight for a bit or under uv light and it will also disappear. Again its quite a minor thing. My sisters husbands find 7a is flawless though and i just feel these phones feel so solid and well made. I agree MIUI has a few more features than CM11 but not that many in my opinion, a security suite etc some other useful apps and tweaks but nothing too major or crucial. I tended not to use that many of them anyway. Do miss the two fingers to move the app icons though. But much of miui’s tweaks can also be reproduced with 3rd party apps. To be honest I hadn’t actually planned on buying a oneplus, was going to wait and see meizu and xiaomi’s next devices but got an invite, got excited and ordered. The one plus is a great phone though for the price. I’ve just been a bit disappointed lately with xiaomis support. The redmi 1s has some critical FW issues that they aren’t addressing and it only gets a fw release every 2 or 3 monthes! Which was disappointing and bizarre really when you consider it is one of the most popular handsets. I also feel xiaomi have really left the mi2/mi2s/mi2a users out to dry by leaving them stuck on 4.1 for years. They seem to support 3rd party phones better than their own. Many apps now are requiring 4.2 or higher and i think this is bad form on their part. They also have not told any redmi users weather they will ever get past 4.2.

Qualcomm soc has advantage over mt6595 but not THAT much. Don’t try to cheat. If mediatek were as much open minded as qualcomm the latter would be crying, believe it or not.
