64bit Gionee F301 promises to bring us low-cost LTE

gionee-f301

Gionee go official with the Gionee F301 64bit Android smartphone with speedy 4G LTE.

Gionee have passed their Gionee F301 smartphone through TENAA revealing that their newest phone will be equipped to bring fast LTE data connectivity users at a reasonable price.

Specs reveal that Gionee have used a new 64Bit Mediatek chipset, the 1.5Ghz MT6732 with Mali-760 GPU, for a nice balance power and connectivity. Details also show the phone will be under the 5-inch norm with a 4.7-inch 1280 x 720 p display, but unfortunately has only 1GB RAM and 8GB of internal memory.

Gizchina News of the week

Gionee’s Amigo 2.5 ROM comes on the phone as standard with some neat camera feature to make the most of the rear 8 mega-pixel camera and front facing 5 mega-pixel sensor.

Pricing is not yet revealed but we expect to see an official launch in China, India and a few other select countries.

Of course, modern iPhones are running on 1GB of RAM. And it’s one of their biggest problems.

For Android, a 1GB RAM is enough, especially on 4.4 and the forthcoming 5.0. 2GB is just… a lot more comfortable to use, it’s just not as necessary as some people think it is.

Hi, I am considering to buy the Redmi 1S at a good price with some accessories. I am asking for your opinion cos many users have pointed the heating issue and bad ram management. There is also the Honor 4 Play from Huawei which will be released soon with overall similar specs. My budget is around 250€ maximum. Thanks in advance!

Thanks, I was planning to buy Nubia Z7 Mini but I have changed my mind recently because of the phone’s specifications and its small capacity battery 2300mAh. I am scared that the battery might not be enough to use the phone without charging it every 5 hours.

forget about the nubia z7 mini, i was going to get one and thankfully i made up my mind.Just look at xda forum or nubia.cn (translated version) to find out how buggy is their software and how disappointed are their customers. Nubia releases updates once every bluemoon and they are just garbage.
On top of that you have that small battery that does not make a full day.

It’s a pity because besides the battery it has great specs, dual sim, external sd card…if you really want this phone then i would wait till someone ports a good rom with a good battery managment

Thank you Max! I agree, I did some research on my side and realized that people who bought the Nubia Z7 Mini are not really happy with their purchase. What’s your point of view about the Redmi 1S?

It’s a great phone for that price, probably the best considering the value of the phone/price.Its camera makes better pics than MI3!
If you are ok with no LTE and 720p screen then it’s the way to go.
If you don’t care about GPS then you can also consider some MTK phones, but if you need GPS then i would stick with snapdragon.

Thank you for your message, I was considering MTK phones like the Doogee DG900 and Umi Zero but my preference would go for a phone with an existing users community regarding updates and bugs fixing issues. It is really hard to find the right phone out there, Xiaomi MI4 seems to be a great phone but it is a shame that Xiaomi hasn’t released the WCDMA black version. I don’t know when the LTE (European) version will be released too. By the way, I don’t know if it is worth to buy a powerful device like the MI4.

Better yet, someone needs to start making extended batteries for the aftermarket sector regarding the particular brands that are coming out of China! What is wrong with these Chinese manufacturers? They are completely missing the boat concerning accessories and aftermarket products.

Why hasn’t any of these companies got together with battery manufacturers to offer the option for extended aftermarket batteries for any of these phones coming out of China? I brought this discussion or topic up at least 1 or 2 years ago hoping that somebody would make note of that in the right field or department. It looks like nothing has changed and companies like Zerolemon are producing fantastic aftermarket batteries for smartphones coming from Samsung, Apple, and several other companies. I am very sure that the same can be done for these phones being discussed on this website..

What’s wrong with 720p on a 4.7 inch display? You’re really forgetting that this is not a flagship model but a low cost LTE phone with more than decent specs.

    • balcobomber25
      October 27, 2014

Considering this is going to be at budget LTE phone, 720p and 1 GB of RAM is perfect if the price is right. If they use the same 4.7 inch display they have used on past models the 720p screen will look better than some 1080p’s do.

More expensive than Huawei?? Where do you buy your phones?

The Gionee s5.5 retails for under $300. Huwaei’s Ascend P7 is probably the closest competition for the 5.5 and retails for over $400. $300 for an octacore phone with FHD, 2 gb of RAM and a pretty good camera is not exactly expensive and mediocre. Especially when it is one of the thinnest phones available.
