Zeaplus M4, Xiaomi Mi4 clone will cost only $99

The Xiaomi Mi4 has served as the inspiration for a handful of other smartphones which are now entering the market. Of them allthe Zealplus M4 is by far the cheapest.

If you don’t remember Zeaplus then it is because the brand are rather new and so far haven’t a single, physical device to put to their name, but they do have some big ideas which involves launching low-cost smartphones based on fan favourites.

The Zeaplus M4, a phone which obviously comes from the same factory as the Elephone P4000, Doogee DG850 and No.1 Mi4, is their first phone which they plan to launch for less than $100.

Gizchina News of the week

According to the Zeaplus website the M4 will come with a 5-inch 1280 x 720 display, alloy body, 8 mega-pixel rear camera, 2 mega-pixel front and Android 4.4 Kitkat. Rather than going for an octacore chip the M4 has a quad-core MT6582, and there doesn’t seem to be any LTE.

Although I’m not a fan of clones, the Zeaplus does have some standout features, alloy body, Gorilla Glass display, SD card, 720p resolution, which at $99 will make a lot of sense to buyers.

What do you make of the Zeaplus? Is it a phone you could live with?

Wait and see 🙂 M4 ain’t relevant to me, but M6 *seems* promising (4G-LTE inside!)

M4 looks interesting at this price, however it does not say whether it includes shipping costs. Is zeaplus going to sell their phones themselves or rely on third party vendors? Because if they rely on third party vendors, the price will go up. Also, if shipping costs are not included, then it is about the same price as the other mi4 clones.

I am also looking forward to the M6, too bad the screen size of M6 is 4.7 inch, it would have been better for me if it is at least 5 inch.

It will end up being the same price as the Doogee if it ends up being resellers which is around $135.

From their site it appears that the phones will be available from a hub in europe! great news for those of us not in china that have had enough of import duty and long waits. the phone seems like a great budget choice and something I would be happy to have as a backup phone or to gift to a family member.

U.S. reseller – TabletMaxx has stock of the M4 – with 14 day returns and no restock fees plus 5-day International shipping

The website is very unprofessionally made. It goes to show that the ones behind the website has little to no experience at all when it comes to e-commerce.
Old, uninspiring stock images and badly edited product images makes things even worse.

Either it’s a scammer, new to the scamming business, or an unprofessional, naive kid that run the website. Either way, I wouldn’t trust him. And I recommend people to not trust him either.

I have also built a few websites using various e-commerce platforms. TabletMaxx is poorly executed in every sense possible.

I don’t get the point of these cloned phones. why waste ressources on something that has already been made when you could create something brand new and exciting. maybe even get people to like it more than the clone you made. for example, i can see myself buying the M6 but not the M4. experience says the quality can never be half as good as the original Xiaomi M4. I saw a galaxy S5 knockoff the other day and seriously i would buy a Zoppo before i bought something like that!

Watch out folks, i’ve been on their site and spotted something that seems quite fishy: there are many renders of m4, but… they’re all renders of elephone p4000, with just the adding of zeaplus logo here and there.

I said that on italian gizchina too, and someone said that, liking their page on facebook, it redirect you to the page of a guy in shenzan (am i writing it properly?!) who previously worked for gizchina… or so he say!
I hope someone on the blog can figure out what’s going on…
    Meanwhile… be careful folks! 😀
