Cyanogen boss Steve Kondik has revealed that he and his team hope to release CyanogenMod 12 for the OnePlus based on Android 5.0 next month.

The update will be available OTA to all international version of the OnePlus One, expect those phones sold in India, who will not be eligible for the OTA update due to contract issues between Microax and CM (we’re sure you will be able to download it manually though).

Speaking about the issues with CM, Oneplus and Micromax, Kondik has revealed that Cyanogemod was licensed for free to the Micromax Yu brand and that any deals relating to India were signed well before the OnePlus India launch. We’re not sure if CM will continue to work with OnePlus on future phones or not at this time.
