Owners of the OnePlus One can look forward to two new OS options this March.

It has been confirmed today that the OnePlus will receive Lollipop based Cyanogen 12S in March. The long overdue update has been in testing for sometime now, but apparently it is running fine and will be released next month.

Gizchina News of the week

Compared to previous CM builds, CM12S for the OPO is said to be the most stable ever to be released.

If you want to try something new though, you might want to give the OnePlus OxygenOS ROM a go which is also scheduled for a stable release in March.

It will be interesting to see how CM12S compares to OxygenOS and we wonder which ROM will prove more popular with OnePlus One owners.

If you buy a OPO after March, which rom does it come preinstalled with ?

I don’t think anyone knows yet. It also doesn’t matter much I think as you can easily swap OS

Anyway… OPO is late with the updates. More than 90 have passed since the release of Lollipop source code. I feel like I’m back owning an HTC (and HTC One M probably has Lollipop already).
