Huawei’s next-gen flagship will come April 15th

It wouldn’t be unfair to say that the Huawei Honor 6 (review) is a hit; Huawei soon followed the phone with the dual-rear camera Honor 6 Plus (review), which in itself was a well put together device.

The erstwhile Ascend P-series (which now drops the ‘Ascend’ moniker) is where Huawei is more experimental with design. From what we’re hearing, the P series will get a new member on the 15th of next month, at an event in London.

There’s no word on what the phone will feature, from official channels… we have, however, reported previously about the Huawei P8 (which is what the phone is likely to be called). Previous leaks and teasers of the device have suggested that the phone will finally shift focus towards battery life rather than anything else.

Besides a phone version, there might also be a phablet variant of the P8, i.e., the P8 Max. However, details on that are scarce as for now, and we shall know the whole story in less than a month from now.
