Mlais M52 colour options revealed, a possible Redmi Note and M1 note rival?

mlais m52 note

Both Meizu and Xiaomi have great looking budget phones with large batteries, and LTE support, but could the colourful Mlias M52 be an outside contender?

The Mlais M52 is a budget Redmi Note style Android phablet, but it isn’t a cheap knock off but rather a very capable and feature packed device in its own right.

It is clear that Mlais have been inspired by the Redmi Note, but looking over the hardware it seems evident that they also care that they have produced a budge phablet with the best specifications possible at minimal cost.

Gizchina News of the week

Internally the hardware is very similar to the latest Meizu m1 note, featuring the same octacore MT6752 64bit chipset, 2GB RAM and 16GB. Camera specifications are also on par with a 13 mega-pixel sensor on the rear and 8 mega-pixel on the front, they even got the battery size right at 3200mAh!

What it offers over the M1 note though is dual SIM and a micro SD card bay, international availability now, and even a promised Android 5.0 OTA update!

Today Mlais have revealed new colour options for the M52 that include standard black and white, plus blue and red models.

Has anybody experience with Gearbest? I have read terrible stuff about delays in order to exhaust the 45-days protection offered by Paypal to open a dispute.
        What’s your experiences?

I’ve used them twice with out issue, in fact very good service, would thoroughly recommend. Thought they were one of the better reviewed resellers out there.

paypal has 90 days protection now, so you wont lose any money, they are time wasting and frustrating that’s all, they lie about stock and wait for enough orders of a product so they can get cheaper prices.

            Thank for the information.
I received today a message from Paypal saying that the protection is now extended to 180 days. That solves the issue should be extend the delivery delay over May

Compared with Meizus M1 Note it has furterhmore a better aperture with f/2.0 instead of f/2.2but just a poor 5.5-inch HD-Screen instead of Full-HD.

But I know it is way ceaper, too! πŸ˜‰

Well the 129 dollars cupon was still valid, so I got baited into buying it, let’s hope it’s a decent $129 dollars phone, everything points to be a bargain but you never know…

            March 19, 2015

Really? That’s lucky, people were moaning there wasn’t enough units available under the codes, though perhaps they just didn’t try.
I would be tempted to if the camera spec was confirmed (and a quality unit), but at this price I guess it’s unlikely.

I’m not expecting an Sony sensor, but a 8MP OmniVision would be okay for the price, what got me it’s the actual global 3G bands, the battery size and the fact that it’s 720p so performance and battery life should be higher than other MT6752 phones, and of course I can’t ignore the promise of a lollipop update, if I get a vanilla android ROM with it and there isn’t hardware problems I will be more than happy for such price.

Right now I own a z7 mini (Snapdragon 801/Adreno 330/2GB RAM) and performance wise, the MT6752 phones seem to be nearly on par, and I paid twice for the z7 mini.

I confirm that the -20 $ off coupon was still valid this morning.
I did try the -29$ coupon and it did not work, then tried the -20$ that worked. Still, I saved some bucks from the price rated yesterday (129 $ instead of 136$)

Hello, can someone tell me if its has GPS+GLONASS(as in introduction page) or GPS+AGPS(as in parameters page)..also does it support wifi display..i tried contacting them but the human verification code link is down(my net is working..checked that) and hence unable to post them question via email.

All of this sounds great but what is the software on it? What sets apart Xiaomi and Meizu from the dozens of other budget/midrange phones is MIUI and Flyme, which are both just as good on low end hardware as they are on flagships.

I’ve been using several phones raging from 4.5 to 5.5. I can tell you that 1280×720 is absolutely sufficient for a phone this size. If you aren’t looking too closely, even 7″ would be alright with the 1280×720 resolution. The performance and battery boost with a lower resolution also is quite significant. The GPU just doesn’t have to work that hard.

I have ordered from them 3 times now. One of them is a phone. Shipping is slow unless you pay the premium. But yes, like Lokaan states, unlike other chinese sites, they use Paypal, so you can be sure that you are protected. I have never ever had a problem with Paypal in the past. They’ve always mediated to get my money back in case of any dispute.
