Meizu and AKG working on headphones, to be released in two more days

Before the Meizu M1 launch this year, Meizu had given us several teasers that they were partnering with other third party companies like Haier and AKG. It seems that another of those partnerships is finally going to bear fruit.

Meizu have posted a teaser on their Weibo page that they, in partnership with AKG, will be releasing a new pair of headphones, confirming the rumors that we have heard in the past.

Gizchina News of the week

The headphones will be released on the 15th of April and will go into direct competition with rival Xiaomi’s Mi headphones which are currently on sale for $99.

How do you feel about this recent development? Is Meizu on the right track to challenge Xiaomi at their own game, or should they just focus on their smartphones?

Judging what AKG managed to do so far & that best price/quality goes to their AKG441 model currently discounted (41£) they will mop the floor with Xiaomi. Really waiting to see this one’s.

Superlux will always be the king of affordable earphones and headphones in my book.

The reason why K451 is down with price is because AK452 is out. 3 weeks ago price whose down to 37£ but now it a little up again. Originally price whose around 70£. As much as I looked at reviews and user ratings they currently represent absolutely best buy if you want really good on ear headphones without any flows. They are comfortable, foldable, not much heavy & come with replicable cables. Audio quality is very good. Hard to beat really especially at this price point.
