Honor's MagicOS 11 Beta Is Live, Here's Who Gets In First

Honor's kicking off MagicOS 11 testing, and this time it's not just a handful of devices. Instead we expect seventeen phones and tablets to be eligible right from the start.

The lineup leans heavily on the Magic line, which makes sense since that's Honor's flagship playground. You've got the Magic V6 and Magic V5 foldables, the Magic 8 series in full, RSR Porsche Design, Pro, Pro Air, and the base model, plus last year's Magic 7 RSR Porsche Design, Pro, and standard 7. Toss in the WIN and WIN RT, the GT Pro, and the three 600 series variants (Pro, Super Edition, Vitality Edition), and that's your fifteen phones. Tablet folks aren't left out either, the MagicPad 3 Pro and its 12.2-inch sibling round out the list.

Here's the part that actually matters if you want in: Honor's only taking 2,000 applicants per model. That's not a huge number when you consider how many people own a Magic 7 Pro or a 600 series phone. If you're serious about testing, don't sit on this.

Timelines differ a bit depending on what you own. Smartphone owners can apply until August 11, with Honor reviewing applications from the 12th through the 14th, and pushing the actual beta on or before August 18. Tablet owners get more runway, applications stay open until August 21, review happens August 24–25, and builds should land by August 28.

One thing worth mentioning before you rush to sign up: you'll need firmware version 10.0.0.170 first. Without it, you're not eligible, full stop. Registration itself is simple enough, open the My Honor app, head to Club, find the MagicOS testing entry, and submit.

I'll be honest, closed betas like this rarely tell you much about final polish, this is still an early build and expect it to be rough around the edges. But it's a decent signal Honor's moving MagicOS 11 along at a reasonable pace, and for a lot of Magic and 600 series owners, this is the first real chance to poke at Android 17's next chapter early.
