Xiaomi might have dropped the ball with the Xiaomi Mi 4i, but we doubt they would resort to stealing the design of the Meizu MX5 for the Xiaomi
Redmi Note 2 as this “leak” would have us believe.
I don’t know if I am being too suspicious here, but the above image is quite clearly a fake to me. Someone has simply taken a photo of the Meizu MX5, added a little width and tweaked it a little to make it look “unique”.
Those tweaks include turning the dual LED flash around, adding a touch fingerprint scanner, Mi logo and a speaker grill design from the Xiaomi Mi 4i.
Although fake it has been rumoured that the next Redmi Note will have a full metal body, but we imagine it to be more in line with the Xiaomi Mi 4 chassis and retain the plastic rear panel.
The Xiaomi
Redmi Note 2 is long overdue and it must be about time for launch, but what do you expect from Xiaomi a second time around?
