This week on GizChina: MX5 preorders, Taiwan quality phones and more

This week is perhaps the one of the slower weeks that we’ve had in the recent months, with not a lot happening w.r.t launches.

Nonetheless, there was still enough to keep us (and hopefully, you) interested. In this section known as This Week On GizChina, we bring to you the takeaways from the past 5 days, all in one place.

This week on GizChina – 07/10/2015

1. Lenovo K3 Note Review

The K3 Note from Lenovo is also known as the #KillerNote, and for obvious reasons. The phone is a gem of a device, and our review confirms that fact.

2. Meizu MX5 on (unofficial) international preoder

The Chinese not only make some amazing phones (about which you’re already aware), but they’re also crazy good business people. Which is why, right after the launch, stores have started accepting pre-orders for the Meizu MX5.

3. Hands on with the UMi Iron

The revamped and rejuvenated UMi is churning out some lovely phones, one of which happens to be the UMi Iron. Go through our mini-hands on post with the phone via the above link!

4. “Taiwan Quality” phone from AOX Mobile which will make us forget Chinese phones

This Taiwanese phone maker wants us to forget about Chinese phones and move on to ‘Taiwanese Quality’. Is that happening anytime soon? Time will tell.

5. Elephone P8000 vs. Meizu MX5

What’s a good round up without a classic heads-on article pitting two of the hottest phones? Well, thankfully there’s one to finish this week’s round up!

The dimensions are actually very close to that of the MX4. The MX5 is slightly taller but its also thinner. In the hand it will feel almost exactly the same.

      MX4: 144 X 75.2 x 8.9
      MX5: 149 X 74.7 x 7.6
