ZTE only got done announcing the Axon for the US market last night, but it looks like the Chinese OEM isn’t a sucker for quiet.
ZTE today announced the all-new Blade D6 smartphone which comes with the MT6735 mid-range chipset. Other specifications of this new metal-clad (aluminium alloy, if you’re wondering) phone include a 5-inch display with a 720p resolution, a 13 mega-pixel rear camera with dual tone dual LED flash, a 5 mega-pixel front facing camera, 2GB of RAM and 16GB on on-board storage.
The version of the MT6735 that the Blade D6 emplys is clocked at 1.3GHz. Certainly, the chipset isn’t going to be the USP of the phone; it is rather the high-grade 6013 aluminum alloy body which measures only 6.95mm thick. Take a look at the full specifications below.
ZTE Blade D6 Specifications:
- 5-inch 720p display
- 1.3GHz MediaTek MT6735 processor
- 2GB RAM
- 16GB ROM

There’s no word on pricing, but expect the phone to sell around the US$200 mark when that does happen. The phone is expected to be made available over the next few months, and buyers in Australia, Russia, and Japan will be getting first taste of the device. It’ll be made available in silver, gray, pink, and gold colour variants.
