ZTE only got done announcing the Axon for the US market last night, but it looks like the Chinese OEM isn’t a sucker for quiet.
ZTE today announced the all-new Blade D6 smartphone which comes with the MT6735 mid-rangeĀ chipset. Other specifications of this new metal-clad (aluminium alloy, if you’re wondering) phone include a 5-inch display with a 720p resolution, a 13 mega-pixel rear camera with dual tone dual LED flash, a 5 mega-pixel front facing camera, 2GB of RAM and 16GB on on-board storage.
The version of the MT6735 that the Blade D6 emplys is clocked at 1.3GHz. Certainly, the chipset isn’t going to be the USP of the phone; it is rather theĀ high-grade 6013 aluminum alloy body which measures only 6.95mm thick. Take a look at the full specifications below.

There’s no word on pricing, but expect the phone to sell around the US$200 mark when that does happen. The phone is expected to be made available over the next few months, and buyers inĀ Australia, Russia, and Japan will be getting first taste of the device. It’ll be made available in silver, gray,Ā pink, and gold colour variants.

Tiny battery and 720p screen. Next!
Yep … battery is small plus its gonna be much more expensive than necessary. 720p screen is very good though. You dont need 1080p or even the gimicky QHD on 5″ screen.
Screen resolution is quite OK, I have the same on a similar in size 4.7 inch screen and it looks crystal clear to me.
The CPU power is also fine for casual stuff I guess but the battery could be a problem as it isn’t quite enough for a 5 inch screen. The SOC shouldn’t use much power though so it might just do the trick.
Also $200 for this is quite a lot even if ZTE does have the brand and it’s a thin metal phone.
Need to see a full picture of the rear because it looks like a phone I have seen before but can’t quite put my finger on it. Maybe an older Gionee?
For me, it looks like Jiayu S2 from the back. Also, it looks like iPhone 6.
I dont see Iphone 6 at all in the design other than both being metal.
Maybe now you can spot some similarities?

Not really,again it’s too metal phones. I could post pictures of about a dozen metal phones that share that same look. Because theres only so many designs/colors you can do with real metal phones. If anything they both resemble the HTC One which was before the Iphone 6.
