The R7 Plus and iLike Bluetooth in-ear headset

Starting from yesterday, International Oppo fans can can pre-order the large screen Oppo R7 Plus through official channels.

Usually when we see a preorder for a Chinese phone it is through resellers who might not have the authorisation of a company before selling the products. This isn’t the case here as Oppo have announced that OppoStyle are offering the Oppo R7 Plus officially to customers around the globe.

Gizchina News of the week

Preorder for the 6-inch phablet began yesterday at 449 Euro or $499, those customers who decide to take part in the pre-order will receive a free iLike Bluetooth in-ear headset along with the phone.

Written above preorder for the 6-inch phablet but comes with ColorOS 2.1 running on the 5-inch 1080p AMOLED display. I’m confused whether it’s 5-inch or 6-inch?

Snapdragon 615 for $ 500 ? Oppo , you want to be the Mercedes of smartphones ?

My thoughts exactly, couldn’t justify half this price for a phone with an sd615

liaow.com claim they have it with MT6795, which makes it more interesting. Unfortunately even if it’s true, Color OS still makes it undesirable.

So far as I’m aware the international version uses the sd615 ands the Chinese version uses the mediatek chip.

This phone making art should be similar to one of the IPhone makers ideas of making only one BUT a great one model. Missing/forgetting some things will immediately throw away some buyers which is we Apple themselves fail a bit but adding thing of they are not obstructing for something else I do not think that will push away any sales. So sorry Abbie, I don’t mean to troll or anything but here I go again with a revised list of what “I” think should have a market winner phone for great success and great community aceptance.

    A. 4000+mAh battery or more
    B. Forget crappy ROMs and get a 3rd party company to do it right and give support, aka, frecuent OTA updates that do fix things if neccesary
    C. 18+mpx camera or similar, even smaller if optics and processing are fair enough (budget dept.)
    D. 5 and/or 5.5 FHD screens, MOST will say anything 2k or more is overkill/unnecessary/too power hungry.
    E. 4gb of RAM ddr3 or more…
    F. 32 GB or more onboard storage
    G. Never forget the memory card reader
    H. A real 8mpx front camera with a led flash (read C again for instructions)
    I. Full spectrum network bands support So not forgetting this or that band (here I would put that 850 3G usually missing and the B20 4G and the one that’s you guys know have kept you many times from buying an otherwise great phone/deal.
    J. Front squarish or back rounded fingerprint reader for bragging rights. Front square to match the screen shape or rounded in the back to match the round usual circle of the camera.
    K. Couldn’t care less about NFC or HOTKNOT as long as there is one of them for bragging rights once again.
    L. Off screen gestures is a must, I’ve learned to love that stupid silliness a lot much more than what I spected. (Own a Ecoo 3gb e04)
    M. A decent SoC or even an overclocked mtk6752 and up (except the 6753 for obvious reasons) would do as long as it is cheap enough not to be a Qualcomm piggyBank-breaker …

$$$ Price should not be too bad. (as a reference, that ZUK Z1 and the upcoming E. VOWNEY should give us and idea as both are near my ideal stuff list just that the Z1 threw me a bit away for now with the 801 that’s why I wait and see for the Downey, if the Z1 had the helio SoC I would have already bough it)

After that mix I will fallow functionality over form, meaning, as long as it is not stupidly ugly I will throw my money over.
Cheers, let me know if that list seems familiar to you as well

Sony C5 Ultra is a better choice. Comes with a 6752 instead.
