Doogee Y100 Plus uses three eco-friendly materials

The Doogee Y100 Plus as the successor to the Y100 Pro is expected to feature the best technology that the company can muster. Doogee says that the Y100 Plus is special because of the variation in choice the company provides consumers with its eco-friendly build materials that conserve the environment while preserving your choice of a premium build.

Gizchina News of the week

First, there is the Space Grey model which combines aluminum alloy powder with a Japanese Musashi paint coating, all on a polycarbonate plastic build. The Sandstone Black model is so named after sandpaper, which makes the Doogee Y100 Plus firm and easy to grip without the “slippability” of many other handsets. Sandpaper materials are similar to matte plastic in increasing friction, which makes the device less likely to fall out of your hands or slide on tables. Lastly, the Water-Ink White white Doogee Y100 Plus utilizes a rubber paint coating that not only makes the smartphone firm to hold, but helps the Doogee Y100 Plus resist abrasion, oil, and fingerprints.

Interestingly the information we have doesn’t actually tell us what makes these finishes eco-friendly but does have us wonder if people are more likely to buy a phone that is made to help protect the environment? We have seen Apple publish their eco footprint with devices, is this something that Chinese phone companies will also provide?
