Huawei planning to launch Matebook laptop

Huawei have recently registered the trademark “Matebook” sparking speculation that the device maker is working on its own laptop.

As PC makers are looking to break in to the smartphone market, phone makers are doing the opposite and planning to release computing systems either in the form of a laptop or an advanced tablet.

You will all be well versed with the rumours that Xiaomi are to launch a laptop, in fact we believe it will be a tablet with detachable keyboard and could launch later this month, well now rumour has it Huawei are doing something similar.

Gizchina News of the week

Recently Huawei registered the trademark “MateBook” in China. The Mate range is already associated with some of Huawei’s mobile devices, but now a laptop is a possibility. Chances are Huawei would power their computer/tablet with their own Hisilicon chipsets, and set pricing low to be competitive whatever Xiaomi have planned.

Are you excited with the emerged interest in laptops and pro tablets? Which of the two (Xiaomi and Huawei) would you be most interested in?

Yes i would buy as long as it uses Cyanogenmod as the OS, and the price should be right
