China’s love affair with the iPhone has had a lasting impression in phone design, and we are not surprised to see the Oppo R9 with a design near identical to the iPhone 6S Plus.
The news we are really waiting for is the Oppo Find 9 flagship phone. It’s been a long time since the Find 7 launched, and we really expect Oppo to release a new powerhouse in the coming months, but this isn’t it.
Chinese media are claiming that this is an early look at the all alloy construction of the Oppo R9. The R9 would be the big brother of the R7 range, which itself replaced the slender Oppo R5.
The all metal body will use a nano molding process that can ensure better integrity when casting complex cases like this and means extremely round corners and sides, which also go some way to the overall iPhone appearance of the phone.
From industry sources the Oppo R9 is rumoured to come with an ultra-sonic fingerprint scanner, Snapdragon 620/Mediatek Helio X20 and 3GB RAM.
