Redmi K100 Pro and Pro Max Specifications
The Redmi K100 Pro boasts Qualcomm's new Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 V Series chipset, while the
Pro Max gets the regular Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5.For those unaware, the V Series is a slightly cut-down version of the chip, with a different GPU configuration.
It's the cost-effective version of a cost-effective flagship CPU. In the age of costlier phones, we can't complain! In the end, we're still getting something better than anything available in the mid-range class.
Both phones come with up to 16GB of LPDDR5X Ultra RAM and 512GB of UFS 4.1 storage. The
Redmi K100 Pro Max also gets a 16GB/1TB configuration at the top of the range.
The display is another major difference. The Redmi K100 Pro features a 6.56-inch OLED panel with a 2,510 x 1,156 resolution and an impressive 185Hz refresh rate. The Pro Max increases the size to 6.9 inches, with a 2,608 x 1,200 resolution while retaining the same 185Hz refresh rate.
The devices go beyond the usual, safe 120Hz threshold to deliver a crystal-clear, smooth display experience.
The Pro Max Gets Better Cameras
The duo of flagships won't disappoint in the camera territory. Both phones feature a 200MP main camera using a 1/1.56-inch sensor, but the Pro Max has a more capable camera system overall. The K100 Pro Max gets a 50MP periscope telephoto camera with 5x optical zoom, while the standard Pro has a 2.5x telephoto camera.
The Max also upgrades the ultrawide camera to a 50MP sensor, up from the 8MP sensor on the K100 Pro. Both devices also feature a Bose-tuned rear subwoofer, giving the phones a more unusual audio setup compared with most competing flagships.
Redmi K100 Pro Has an 8,580mAh Battery
When it comes to the battery capacity, Redmi isn't disappointing and we expect no less from the Redmi K100 Pro series. The battery department, is arguably one of the biggest highlights of the new Redmi phones.
The Redmi K100 Pro packs an 8,580mAh silicon-carbon battery, while the K100 Pro Max takes things even further with a 9,070mAh cell. The latter is an unusually large battery for a flagship smartphone and could make the Pro Max particularly interesting for users who prioritize endurance. Even heavy users will have a hard time draining this battery.
Both phones support 100W wired charging, 50W wireless charging, and 27W reverse wired charging. They also carry IP66, IP68, and IP69 ingress protection.
Redmi K100 Pro Series Pricing

POCO F9 Pro and POCO F9 Ultra Might Be Their Global Versions
For now, the new phones are exclusive to China. However, Xiaomi's previous Redmi K-series strategy could provide a clue about their international future. The Redmi K90 Pro and K90 Pro Max eventually transitioned to the Poco F8 Pro and F8 Ultra internationally, so the Redmi K100 Pro and K100 Pro Max could arrive globally as the Poco F9 Pro and POCO F9 Ultra later this year.
For now, the K100 Pro series stands out as another aggressive Redmi flagship lineup, particularly for its combination of high-end Snapdragon hardware, 185Hz displays, 200MP cameras, and batteries approaching 9,000mAh. We can't wait to see these devices in global markets, as they represent serious competition to some conventional and boring brands.
