Redmi K100 Pro Max Goes Official in Wine Red — And It Looks Like an iPhone

Redmi has finally shown its hand. The K100 Pro Max is real, it's striking, and it launches August 11. That's the short version however. The longer version involves a color that Apple is reportedly eyeing for the iPhone 18 Pro, a Bose speaker on the back, and a price tag that quietly buries the "flagship killer" label for good.

The standout detail is a deep burgundy finish Redmi calls Cabernet Sauvignon Red — and it lands just as Apple is rumored to offer a similar shade on the iPhone 18 Pro. Coincidence? Maybe. Intentional? Almost certainly.

Official images show a 6.9-inch flat display with ultra-narrow bezels and a metal frame. The rear camera island is large, square, and sits in the upper left corner. It looks familiar. That's the point.

But Redmi added its own twist. The Bose-branded rear woofer module returns from the K90 Pro Max, and a new floating light ring around the camera reacts to music. It's premium — just louder about it than Apple would be.

Redmi hasn't dropped a full spec sheet yet. What we do have is solid. Geekbench results show the K100 Pro Max running Qualcomm's Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 with 16GB of RAM, logging a single-core score of 3,429 and a multi-core score of 10,461. China's 3C database confirms 100W wired fast charging under model number M511CD.

The official renders confirm a triple-camera setup with a dedicated periscope telephoto sensor. Leaks consistently point to a 200MP main shooter and 50MP periscope with OIS, though Redmi hasn't confirmed those numbers yet. Battery capacity sits somewhere between 8,000mAh and 9,000mAh per regulatory filings.

Here's the catch. The K100 Pro Max is expected to cost around ¥5,000 — roughly $730 — a 54% jump over the K90 Pro Max. That's not a flagship killer. That's just a flagship.

Redmi President Lu Weibing confirmed the standard K100 has not been cancelled — it just arrives later. Rising memory and component costs pushed the company to move the Pro series ahead of its usual schedule. Draw your own conclusions.
