Coolpad will bring monthly security updates to phones


Coolpad has announced that it aims to keep security of their phones a top priority and will release monthly security updates for some of its phones.

The Chinese phone maker says that it had already started to release security updates for some model from November 2015 (the Coolpad Y90-G00, T2-00, and ivvi SS1-03 being the first ). Coolpad now plan to add other phones to the update cycle throughout 2016 to ensure users have the most secure user experience available.

The Google Nexus devices, Samsung and the Blackberry Priv are other Android phones that get regular security updates, expect more phone companies to follow.

    What’s a “”security update”” on an Android suppose to resolve or fix??? I’m honestly lost there

      Security issues, found vulnerabilities and that kind of fixes.
