OPPO will launch new power and camera technologies at MWC

OPPO MWC

OPPO today have announced that they will be at MWC and will be unveiling two new technologies that will ‘WOW’ users.

In a press release today, OPPO say that they plan to launch a ‘ground breaking’ power solution in Barcelona along with an ‘unprecedented smartphone camera innovation’.

OPPO are no strangers to launching innovative new technologies, and can be credited with release the first motorised rotating camera, screen flash feature for selfies (later used by Apple) not to mention the VOOC fast charging tech.

Gizchina News of the week

The release didn’t go in to any details about what the innovative new technologies might be but we believe VOOC version 3.0 could be on the cards, but the new camera features might be anyones guess.

Whatever we see launched at MWC next month we are sure that the technologies will be part of the OPPO Find 9’s specs once it finally gets a release.

First pic is about low light, second is about global shutter.
In theory their technology based on quantum film allows the sensor to absorb more light and solves or helps with key problems like rolling shutter , low light perf, motion blur, dynamic range and more.
That’s in theory, in practice it remains to be seen if their product has any unacceptable weaknesses for now. They finally have an actual product and hope it is good enough to get some wins in phones. If not, then we’ll have to wait some more until they have a good enough product.

thx for sharing, its seems like a real technological advance ! I hope Oppo bought this… Even if this seems like a reasonable argument to sell their next phone at $700+ :'(

Please announce the Find 9. As long as it doesn’t look like the renders from yesterday.

Interestingly, gionee just said something similar about the upcoming s8 (which will be lunched at mwc too), talking about a “camera revolution” (and probably force touch)

        Or optical zoom 🙂

        January 28, 2016

It could be, although we’ve already seen something like that many times now… Nothing “revolutionary”, but there are many way to use it, maybe it’s a new one (I’d actually like to see ultrapixel technology with a bigger sensor… Rumors were that iuni used that technology on u2 and u3, so maybe they improved that one… Or so I hope! 😀 )

There haven’t been that many dual rear camera phones.

Read that Job’s iPhone 7plus may have a dual camera setup too…. but am sure ifanboys will say it never happened before. 😉

According to the iSheep, it is only Apple that invents technology.

Sure, not “many”, but if you talk about “revolution” I’d expect something never seen before!
But, like i said, something already seen BUT used in a new way it’s fine for me, as long as used in the right way!

Having a Find7a, I must admit the battery, after one and a half year of heavy use, starts showing signs of fatigue, needing quite frequent recalibrations. However, it is replaceable and the charging really is blazing fast.
Well they were the first to have 1080p on the find 5, the first to have QHD on the find7.
And they were cheap! Got my Find7a new for 320€ when it came out with the 10% student discount still running as of today on oppo style. Hope the find9 will also be innovative and reasonably priced 🙂

      Hello Muhammad,

I’m using a Find 7A every day since April 2K14, charging with VOOC every evening. I didn’t noticed a serious drop in battery life VS non-VOOC phones i uwned before (Samsung S2 / S3, Oppo Find5). I think a may have lost something like 5-10% battery life in 20 months.

Since a few days, my F7A is giving me a “battery connection” system error, but i can’t see any symptom in relation with this alert message (connectivity drop, black screen, etc…) so it’s not really a problem, and it may be related to one of the recent falls the phone endured, not to VOOC.

thanks for the info , man 🙂

i read it in a review on one of the oppo phones… guess its a 50/50
