Mystery Vivo spotted, possibly Vivo Xplay 5 ‘lite’?

vivo x6 plus hands on and first impressions

Vivo will unveil their 6GB RAM Vivo Xplay 5 tomorrow, but is this the phone phone they plan to announce.

GFXbench listings show another possible Vivo smartphone could be due a launch soon too, but this phone has slightly lower specifications compared to those the Vivo Xplay 5 is teased to have.

From Vivo’s own leaks, they have confirmed that their new flagship phone will have a curved display, Snapdragon 820 chipset and 6GB RAM, which leads us to believe that this GFXbench listings are for another phone, possibly a ‘lite’ version of the Xplay 5.

The Vivo PD1522A in the listing is shown with a 2K 5.4-inch display, Snapdragon chipset running at 1.8Ghz (likely the SD652) and 4GB RAM.

These specs are similar to those on the current Vivo X6 Plus, but the higher resolution display hints at a new mid-range flagship model.

The details also show an impressive 111GB memory inside the phone, 7 mega-pixel front camera, and 15 mega-pixel rear. This could actually mean an 8 mega-pixel camera for selfies, 16 mega-pixel rear camera, and 128GB internal memory with 111GB free for the end user.

An interesting deices, which could be more interesting if it get’s an official international launch.

I dont really get the hype for this brand. Never owned a Vivo phone though. Can someone explain how they are different/better from meizu, xiaomi and the others?

Vivo phones are usually very well optimized great build quality and fun touch OS is an amazing skin. Battery life is usually great and cameras rank high compared to competitors. Their hi Fi chips make listening to music and watching videos a treat as well. They always use high quality components or the latest in tech when building their phones all the while pushing the boundaries of phone evolution.
