Xiaomi’s first curved screen device could be a TV

A Xiaomi teaser featuring the number ‘pi’ has been released and might mean a new curved TV is on the way.

Xiaomi’s range of smart TV’s has been popular in China since they launched back when the Xiaomi Mi3 was the flagship phone. Like their phones, the Mi TV’s have offered high specs and features including 3D screens, at good prices (well at least if you are in China).

Gizchina News of the week

With TV’s still proving to be a popular must have in China, Xiaomi have kept updating their offerings, and their latest might have a curved TV.

Last month it was revealed that Xiaomi was purchasing curved displays from Samsung Display, and it could be that not all those screens were the smartphone variety and some could be destined to be the face of the latest generation Xiaomi TV.

If these details are accurate then we only have to wait until the 23rd March to see the new range of smart TV’s from the Beijing tech giant.

There will be resellers on Ali and other sites selling them just like it is with Mitv 60″. I live in Switzerland (EU) and have the MITV 60 inch at home

I actually live in Switzerland. But if I want something, I can always find a way to import it. The MiTV 60 inch cost me 1200$ and due to the declaration at the customs, DHL didnt want customs tax.

You can set it to english, but even with CN interface, its easy to use. In my opinion XIaomi are the only ones who nailed the Smart TV interface. They made it so good that you actually want to use it (Not like the samsung, lg etc ones). I also like the motion sensing games, they literally look like wii sports games, and work the same (but are free)

I’m gonna have to see about importing one to the UK now… haha…

Yes there are tutorials on youtube but most likely if you order one from a reseller he will already have set it to english for you, the app store and some other apps will still be in CN tho. Just search for “set mitv box to english”
