Windows 10 tablets really are coming down in price and even the big names are offering devices at under $100.

Tablet maker Teclast have used all their knowledge from building Android tablets over the years to put together the Teclast X80 Plus. This 8-inch tablet features a 1280 x 800 resolution display Intel Atom X5-Z8300 chipset and 2GB RAM and runs Windows out of the box.

Like other tablet makers, Teclast are also planning to release an Android 5.1 ROM for the device too so users can switch between systems.

    12 core GPU unit ???

Can someone explain me why his this irrelevant???

Looks like a big number for gaming, but as I don’t see any big exciment about it it makes me think is not the big deal.

    HOW COME ?

it is not a “gaming” tablet, if that is what you were hoping. It is Cherry Trail, a 2015/2016 intel CPU. I think intel’s gpus come with 12-72 GPU cores now, making this the absolute lightest GPU that they make.

By way of comparison, their best iGPU, w/ 72 cores, is almost comparable to a GTX 950 — or about 80% as an Xbox One.

This one would come in around 1/6 to 1/10th that fast. Roughly one third as fast as an Xbox 360.

The 72 core iGPU that Intel has is comparable to the gtx 750, not the much more powerful 950. And to go further into things, thats just in flops, not gaming performance. Intel, last I checked, will sore less even if they have the same name Myer of flops on board

Hi Mr. Singh. I think you misread me, we do not disagree! I did not say it was much more powerful than the GTX950. I was wrong about how powerful the xbox one is — I thought it was closer to the GTX 950 than it is.

The GTX 950 itself is roughly as powerful as the GTX750 (there was very little perf change in that part of the nvidia lineup in those years) — roughly ~10% difference max.

I was in the market for a tablet and seriously considered this, I ended up with a Mi Pad 2 instead though. In the end it was more about trusting Xiaomi a lot more than Teclast (who had some horrible feedback online). I change my phone out every few months, but my tablets I keep for years.
