UHANS S1 will offer front cam with FotoNation technology

Uhans S1

Phone make UHANS released two models during the course of last year, first one being UHANS U100 significantly resembling extremely pricy Vertu phone with its design and second one the “U” line model UHANS U200, which looked like Vertu / Doogee Titans 2 crossover for a change.

This years company offering will kick off with first model of the new “S” line UHANS S1 expected roughly around April 20th for the presale period start. What can we expect ? Well 5-inch 2.5D arc display and extremely thin bezels, octa core MT6753, 3 GB RAM, 13 Mpix rear cam and 5 Mpix front one. The phone will feature metal frame body just 6.8mm thin and allegedly also glass back. As the OS will be used Freeme OS 6.0.

Gizchina News of the week

But today we want to take a closer look at the front cam of UHANS S1, because according to the information it should feature FotoNation technology so selfie lovers can rejoice. This technology is not something extra rare though and is used in variety of devices from Samsung, Oppo, Alcatel, QiKu or Huawei. if we look at the numbers, that would equal almost 2.3 billion devices over the years.

So what exactly is this technology capable of ? Well the list is extensive and we can find for example analysis of colors/white balance/skin tone/structure, light and contrast correction, age and sex recognition, beautification, make-up or video enhancement. Pretty cool huh ? But let’s hope the final result is not going to be overdone and instead of perfect photo looking like a carneval mask 🙂 But UHANS promises to release pics taken with FotoNation tech before the actual start of the presale so we can judge the quality more closely in few days.
