So much for Meizu getting a Helio X25 exclusive as LeTV have just announced their Le Pro 2 with the 2.5Ghz chipset.
The LeEco Max launch today was the big draw today with up to 6GB RAM and a Snapdragon 820, but for people wanting a 5.5-inch flagship phone, LeEco also had the release of the Le Pro 2.
The design is similar to the LeMax but the phone has a more compact body and smaller 5.5-inch display but with the same 2K resolution. The Le Pro 2 sticks with 4GB RAM but get’s 64GB memory, and a Mediatek Helio X25 chipset running at 2.5Ghz (the same chip Meizu claimed only they would be using).
Gizchina News of the week
Other details include a Sony IMX230 rear 21 mega-pixel camera with OIS, an 8 mega-pixel front camera, 3000mAh battery, EUI based on Android 6.0 fingerprint scanner and fast charging.
Pricing is very keen on the Le Pro 2 with the Chinese RRP set at only 1499 Yuan! Not bad specs at all but once again the phone ships without a 3.5mm headphone jack and instead users must use the included USB type C adapter to use their current headphones.
Only 32GB of NAND. Not sure the cam has OiS ,they don’t always list it.
There are 2 version for the 2 Pro (and ofc there is the 2).
It is likely that the X25 version will arrive later and for now only the X20 will be available at 1399CNY(216$) http://www.lemall.com/le_2pro.html?alys_id=head
No microSD, no audio jack, black borders, there is an IR blaster here too
LTE-FDD: B1 / 3 /. 7
TDD the LTE-: 38/39/40/41
I am dying to get one..
Did they say when the phone will actually be available? Just because it is launched today doesn’t mean Meizu still doesn’t have exclusive rights to it for a set period of time. LeTV might not be allowed to sell the phone for a few months.
And no 3.5mm jack would be a no buy for me.
April 26 but likely not for the x25 version, just the x20 version ,as well as the 2 and Max 2. They don’t take pre-orders for the x25 version.
letv $230, meizu = crazy nothing and expensive same to iphone.
awaiting exynos version with super amoled @ battery better than 4000mah
I have to wait or it will never exist , because 2500mah today = shame
Sooner or later all phone brands will abandon the 3.5mm jack. I believe the phones next year wont have them. I think GIonee once release a phone w/o headphone jack, but they included an adapter. I hope LeEco will too.
I doubt it will disappear anytime soon. Many brands also sell their own headphones and 3.5mm is still the standard connection type. It will be years before that changes. There’s too much money at stake for them to abandon it.
And I prefer the headphone jack on top of the phone. LeEco just leaked out of my buy list. 🙁
The Oppo R5 also didn’t have a headphone jack.
