Team Cap version of the Vivo Xplay 5 released

Marvel fans in China will today be able to get hold of a Captain America version of the Vivo Xplay 5.

Rumour has it that Tony Stark in the latest Captain America movie has a Vivo smartphone. I'll have to wait till tomorrow to know for sure (but really I'm more interested in seeing Spidey in action), but at least today we do know that Marvel and Vivo are working together to promote the movie.

Vivo have released a limited edition version of their Vivo Xplay 5 with 'Team Cap' branding on the rear, a limited edition Captain America case, and a bundle that includes a Marvel T-shirt and Vivo bag.

In addition to the slight cosmetic change to the rear of the phone, the special edition handset also has a custom 'Captain America' theme over the top of the Funtouch OS.

This isn't the first time that a Chinese phone has made a special edition movie phone. Oppo has had Transformer branded devices on sale in the past and both Vivo, Oppo and OnePlus invest heavily in getting their devices in to mainstream TV shows and movies (anyone see the OP2 cameos in House of Cards?).
