UMI Super battery test video

Yet another of the promo videos for the coming UMI Super brand flagship and this time its a comparison video featuring not just the Super, but also iPhone 6S Plus and UMI Touch. And what’s the focus of the comparison ? Easy dear Watson, battery endurance.

All three phones are on and paralelly recording a video until they just simply run out of juice. And what are the results of such a test ? Well iPhone 6S Plus died after 3.5 hours of the recording, while UMI Touch lasted 4 hours and 39 minutes. The winner is not surprisingly the hero of the day, UMI Super which bravely managed to record for 4 hours and 57 minutes.

Gizchina News of the week

According to the official spec list UMI Super has a SONY battery with 4000 mAh capacity and theoretically should handle 15 of standby. The phone also supports fast charging through its USB Type-C connector and should charge up to 75 percent in just 30 minutes. Company claims that based on the battery tests the average user should charge UMI Super only once in two days. But we all know how such tests and estimations are subjective.

UMI Super should be officially released May 25th with $249.99 price tag in gold or dark grey version. All the details about the first sales could be found here.

The X20 is a much better chip in general, graphics and CPU performance are almost x2.

The X20 is obviously a higher performance (and more expensive) SoC but it’s a battery eater.

I like the Super a lot. Only bad point it has from my point of view is that it only offers a 32GB version. I would need a 64GB with Dual SIM. Single SIM and SD Card isn’t an option for me….

I got coupon codes to buy it for $179,99, but hessitant to do that without any previes out. How were Umi’s recent phones received? I know that back in the day with the Umi X2 they were regarded as a good phone builder.

I owned a UMI TOUCH and IRON PRO. They are both very good quality build. the difference is that IRON PRO has a rear fingerprint while TOUCH has a front. i appreciate it very much, to be honest.

Would never give them this kind of money in a presale. Unlike, what Ivo is saying, mobile forums threads about Touch, Rome and Zero are full of complains. These phones quickly start to show up wear and design and finishing flaws.

Would never trust them. Better wait.
IMHO price will get corrected quite quickly too.
