OnePlus’ offer a free OnePlus 3 in exchange of a review under ‘The Lab’ scheme

OnePlus 3 The Lab

We’ve seen smaller Chinese companies do this – offer discounts/free phones in exchange of reviews. Word of mouth is what OnePlus bank upon to market their phones, and what better than a community review to spread the word?

That’s probably what’s going on in the minds of OnePlus bosses. The company will be offering 30 people a chance to get a free unit of the OnePlus 3 in exchange of a ‘comprehensive review’ under what they call ‘The Lab’ scheme.

‘The Lab’, according to OnePlus, is a community-driven effort which will ‘provide fair, honest, crowd-sourced feedback on the OnePlus 3’. Try your hand at it by applying here: https://oneplus.net/lab.

Gizchina News of the week

OnePlus 3 The Lab

OnePlus have been experimental with their pre- and post launch exploits. Back in 2014, the brand got a lot of flak for their controversial tactics, which seem to have mellowed down since.

The OnePlus 3 is expected to launch on June 14th with a Snapdragon 820 processor, and other internals that will put it on par with flagships of this year.

… Actually you don´t get to keep the phone. If you read the conditions, you will se that it says that the phone is a property of OnePlus, and the reviewers may be asked to return the phone at the discretion of OnePlus.

“In no fewer than 500 words, please describe why you believe you should be selected to review the OnePlus 3.”

the are feeling they messed up… now they want to know if people still think they made adecent and, at least, compelling device to sell…

the brand that got the nickname flagship killer is shooting itself on the foot by not going all out on features and specs and then just trying to look for a decent price, that was just what they needed but were not brave enough to do.

Just ditch the invite system and you might get me to buy my first OnePlus device. I don’t even care if they do flash sales with limited stock like everyone else does, just no more silly games with invites.
