Xiaomi Mi Max headed for India later this month

Xiaomi’s Mi 5 may not have been the smashing success the company would’ve been hoping for, but that surely isn’t going to deter Xiaomi.

More recently, Xiaomi unveiled the Mi Max. True to its name — especially the second half — the Mi Max is a massive phone with a 6.44-inch display, making it the largest Xiaomi phone to date.

Xiaomi execs have been teasing a device launch for the 30th of this month in India. The teasers have invariably the following words: “The next BIG thing is coming and BIGGER is definitely better! Stay tuned – 30th June 2016!”. The video title — Mi Max – The Fan — however is a bit of a giveaway.

Gizchina News of the week

The phone comes with a 6.44-inch 1920 x 1080p display, 3GB/4GB RAM, 32GB/64GB/128GB ROM, 16 mega-pixel rear camera, 5 mega-pixel front facing camera, a Snapdragon 650/652 processor, and lastly, a 4850mAh battery. Needless to say, the Mi Max has a fingerprint sensor on the backside of the phone.

There’s no word on how much it’ll cost in China. We expect Xiaomi to price the entry-level version at 16,000 INR and the top-end edition at 20,000 INR.

While Xiaomi Max is good n all that, What Xiaomi really need to do is to release the Redmi 3 in India, because the Redmi 2 is getting long in tooth, and Xiaomi needs a 5inch phone in India portfolio.

If the price will be lower than international price then i would buy it as an extra phone for me.
