At one point OnePlus were considering to launch a smartwatch, and although it has now been scrapped sketches of the wearable have been released.
Pete Lau recently confirmed to fans that OnePlus had considered building its own smartwatch, but chose to scrap the idea due to a “cruel market”. It’s not clear how far along development came on the watch, but we do at least know it got to the drawing board stage.
Sketches of the OnePlus Watch were released today on Twitter showing a wearable not all that different form the Moto 360. From the images is looks as though the watch body would have been easily unclipped from the strap and cover allowing customers to switch design options at the drop of a hat.
While some of you might be sad to know that a OnePlus watch isn’t coming, the rest of you might take pleasure in knowing the brand is focussing on it’s smartphone business.
