Blackview A8 Max will make an appearance in August

Blackview are working on a higher version of their ultra budget A8 model, which managed to be successful due to really low price tag around $55. The bigger and better brother is going to be named Blackview A8 Max and should be released in August.

So what specifications can we expect from the Blackview A8 Max ? Well there will be some difference between A8 and A8 Max with the biggest possibly the bigger screen size with 5,5-inches instead of 5. But the HD resolution stay in place, no improvement there.

Also the processor got upgraded, A8 Max will be carrying the quad-core MT6737 clocked at 1,3 GHz paired with 2 GB RAM and 16 GB of expandable storage. Battery capacity gets bumped to 3000 mAh and another tweak is adding some LTE bands so the list of supported should be now 1/3/7/8/20. The phone will also have a metal frame and Android 6.0 Marshmallow as the OS.

As mentioned before the Blackview A8 Max should see the market for the first time by the end of August with three color variants – Pearl White, Champagne Gold and Violet Black – and expected $89.99 price tag.

Hopefully blackview already improve their build quality.

Last time normally their products cannot last for 1 year.

It was just unpleasant feeling after only a couple months usage and the thing spoilt. Feeling a bit cheated.

Btw for those who bought and use blackview (or those china small brands like bluebo, no.1, etc), please kindly update in this forum about their user experiences, it will be a great help for others should they decide to buy those brands.

For me the most important is durability because i am not loaded so cannot afford to keep changing phone every 6 months.

I have a Blackview BV2000s (3G version) as a second phone. I bought it for $40 (limited offer). Most bugs got fixed after an OTA Update, but the phone still has some issues… Not bad phone, but not great.

Looking forward to phones with 6737A(1.5 Ghz chip with a +50Mhz on the GPU as well)
The 6737 barely offers anything more than the 6735A which is widely available.

There is a big competition at this price… I think this model will fail again. Also, none wants a 5,5 inch phone, it’s too damn big…
