While it’s true that the MT6580 isn’t the most powerful mobile SoC around, the chip has done well to make decent smartphones available to everyone. A prime example of that would be the UMi Rome X, which features the same SoC and is quite a decent phone.
Another MT6580 phone, if you missed it, is the Homtom HT16. Like all other phones powered by this chip, it is fairly affordable. However, between July 26 and August 15th, you can get the phone for even lesser, keep reading for details.
The Homtom HT16 has a 5-inch 1280 x 720p display, 1GB of RAM, 8GB on-board ROM, 5 mega-pixel rear & 2 mega-pixel front camera (extrapolated to 8 and 5 mega-pixel respectively), a 3000mAh battery and an Android 6.0 Marshmallow installation… besides of course, the MT6580 processor.
You can get this dual SIM phone for $49.99 from here until the 15th of August. There don’t seem to be any stock or time limitations.
