OnePlus 3 mini rumours false: Company co-founder

We reported last night about how a ‘knocked down’ version of the OnePlus 3 in the OnePlus 3 mini leaked online.

It turns out its something not worth being excited about, because there’s no such device in development. This bit of news comes straight from company co-founder Carl Pei.

The OnePlus 3 mini could be thought of perhaps as an updated OnePlus X. That said, the OnePlus X line too was discontinued, so it seems as though the brand wants to completely focus on the high-end flagship and nothing else.

GFXBench listed a device with all the spec of the OnePlus 3 but a smaller screen. While a device like that would definitely be nice to have, especially for people who like ~5-inch phones, Pei tweeted (with a link to a rumour story): ‘No. #rumorshutdown’.
