Vernee Apollo will probably challenge the Xiaomi Redmi Pro

We will see plenty of deca-core phones being released by the end of the year and among the possible front runners will be surely Xiaomi with their recently revealed Redmi Pro model. But Vernee with the full fledged flagship Vernee Apollo will surely try to challenge them for the throne.

Vernee Apollo first news dates way back to March, but the original specifications back there included the Mediatek Helio X20 processor. But time sometimes changes things so since the May update we know that the Apollo should be using the higher clocked Helio X25 version.

And seems like they are not done with the changes yet, because according to today’s press release also the design of Vernee Apollo will be slightly altered, specifically the back cover. Using the CNC processing and nano injecton molding the cover should look not only good, but with anodizing the metallic surface gets better resistance against the corrosion and wear.

Vernee company believes that with such specs like the aforementioned deca-core processor, 2K resolution screen and metal body the Apollo can take on the Xiaomi Redmi Pro head to head. The projected price is expected around $399, which is quite a lot and puts the phone directly against a tough competition, but we shall hopefully see it soon, the expected release is scheduled for the second half of 2016.

Vernee is one heck of a brand. I mean it brought Thor, which I currently use it. But to say of now, this phone will be challenge to Redmi 3S or to Ulefone Metal.

Well unless it has a 4000 mAh battery like Xiaomi does I don’t really care much.

Besides 2K is pretty much only good for consuming more power so unless it also has a battery to match no thanks.

It will have band 20 which puts it above Xiaomi in Europe.

Yeah I don’t really care about that though :D. I barely even use 4G since most of the time there’s only 3G signal and stuff…. besides my needs for high speed internet are limited.
Maybe you could even hack the Xiaomi to add band 20 somehow, the hardware might be there….
Battery life is a much higher priority for me.

Nobody’s going to go for that at 399$ when Le2 Max and Zuk 2 are 299$.
