Nokia to unveil its next smartphone on February 26, according to invite


I guess we all know about Nokia’s return in the mobile telecoms market with the Nokia 6, but so far this has been limited to the Chinese region only. But don’t be sad dear European/US readers, the Finnish company plans to unveil a new smartphone during Mobile World Congress 2017, that will be worldwide available – at least according to sources.

Yesterday the company sent some initial invites to certain members of the Press, mentioning that on February 26, a one hour event will take place between 16.30 – 17.30 where the company will unveil the “next exciting chapter in its consumer story”. Meaning we’ll get to see a brand new smartphone, presumably Nokia 8 flagship!

  • Snapdragon 835 SoC or Snapdragon 821 SoC
  • Sharp IGZO 2K display
  • IP57 dust resistance
  • 24MPixels rear camera

So stay sharp, and wait for the good news to arrive sometime by the 26th of February.
