Bluboo S1

Tri-bezel-less smartphones are the next best thing since the success of the Xiaomi Mi MIX and now all of the smaller brands are hurling their MIX clone on the market. Bluboo S1 is one of them and the company provided list of 8 reasons why they think you should be buying their new phone.

  1. BLUBOO S1 achieved the full display design. They greatly miniaturize the earpiece speaker and proximity sensor which are nearly invisible, and rotate the front camera upside down, finally the screen on the S1 takes up 90% of the phone’s front surface area with no bezels.
  2. BLUBOO S1 powered by Helio P25 octa-core processor to ensure robust processing strength.
  3. BLUBOO S1 equips with dual Sony rear cameras. The main camera with 16.0MP lens is cooperated with the subordinate one with a 3MP lens to take perfect pictures.
  4. BLUBOO S1 offers massive storage, 4GB of RAM, 64GB of ROM expandable up to 256GB. No worries about running out of storage space.
  5. BLUBOO S1 adopts SHARP 5.5” FHD display protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 4 to reduce the risk of 50% broken screen and provide great protection for the display.
  6. BLUBOO S1 has 3500 lithium-ion polymer battery & fast charge to support for 28 hours of continuous calls, 36 hours of continuous music, 22 hours of continuous video and the device is fully charged only less than 1.5h which comes to 20% reduction in charging time.
  7. BLUBOO S1 Double-sided 2.5D Curved Design is used to offer a soft and smooth touch.
  8. BLUBOO S1 provides OTG connection and Reversible USB Type-C Port which is a sacrifice for seeking for simplification of design style. And Type C to 3.5mm headphone jack adapter is also provided for you.

Gizchina News of the week

Until we really have the chance to lay our hands on an actual piece it’s hard to judge and evaluate the quality and worth of the phone, but Bluboo S1 on paper surely looks interesting and even promising. And what’s also pretty good should be the initial pricing for the device, because we should see the presales hitting the stores on July 10th for about $150. Stay tuned for more info and you can find more on the Bluboo’s official website.

Looks good. But is there any info on the durability of previous devices from them? I might want to replace my Left Max 2 real soon, but strongly need a reason to get another Chinese phone. My Chinese colleagues think it’s a waste of resources.

Not only it is not a waste of resources, it is also a great oportunity to have something really good for a small price!
I had a ZUK Z2 for 3 months, sold it to a friend and Ive already purchased the ZUK Z2 PRO for 240 euros with 6GB of RAM, 128GB Of storage, AMOLED display and a SnapDragon 820 processor, a must buy!
The Z2 was good but I needed the extra storage and I wanted the AMOLED display, and for 240 euros I’ll buy a smartphone for more 3 years, just like my old ZTE Z5s ??

Bluboo are cheating people. The processor is P20 NOT P25 as they advertise. Also secondary camera is not being used, it’s fake and the bokeh effect is software generated.
