Finally, Nokia 3 To Get Android 7.1.2 Update

Some days ago, an update was released to Nokia 3, 5 and 6. This update contains Android 7.1.2, but while Nokia 5 and 6 got the OS update, Nokia 3 didn't get it and this left many wondering why Nokia 3 was left out. Now, the Finnish company has confirmed that the phone will soon receive the updated Nougat OS version.

HMD revealed that the reason behind the delay is the MediaTek chip that the smartphone uses. This processor experienced a delay in drivers updating and requires more time for tests to be completed. Recall that both Nokia 5 & 6 uses a Qualcomm Snapdragon 430 chipset thus they did not experience any delay. This update is not arriving immediately as it is expected to drop with next month's security patch. Nokia 3, 5 and 6 are already confirmed to receive Oreo before the end of the year.
