Xiaomi Is The World’s Largest IoT Platform For Smart Hardware


Chinese manufacturing giant, Xiaomi, has unveiled a lot of innovative products since its inception 7 years ago and its consistent development is pushing the company to the core of IoT development. Internet of Things (IoT) is a simple idea which many do not really understand as of today. This is a concept whereby a number of smart devices can be interconnected and controlled from a central hub. With this development, you never lose sight of your home, office or environment regardless of where you are.

Today, at the Xiaomi IoT Developer Conference, Xiaomi’s CEO – Lei Jun, announced that Xiaomi IoT platform has over 800 smart devices from 400 partners. He also stated that the company has over 85 million connected devices, making it the world’s largest IoT platform for smart hardware.

At the conference, the company also added to its fleet of IoT devices by launching the Xiaomi Mijia Bluetooth Temperature & Humidity Meter which is priced at only 69 Yuan ($11). This Bluetooth hygrometer comes with a compact cylindrical design and the top has a simple LCD screen for real-time monitoring. It can also vividly display indoor temperature and humidity changes, as well as cold and wet environmental conditions at a glance. This device is designed with an inbuilt high-sensitivity sensor which provides accurate values up to 0.1.

Furthermore, the Xiaomi Mijia Bluetooth Temperature & Humidity Meter can be connected to the Mi APP, link other smart devices, automatically improve indoor comfort.
