Sony Xperia XZ2 in the works?

An image of a mystery phone has been leaked which is speculated to be the Sony Xperia XZ2. Yesterday a render of another Sony device was reported to belong to the XZ2.

The image a device with ultra-thin bezels, a practice not known to feature Xperia devices. The front is flush with the full-screen display down to the bottom of the frame. The top portion houses the front camera and other sensors. The right side of the frame has the volume conr=trol buttons, below which lies the fingerprint scanner, something Sony has been following for a while, and near the bottom lies the dedicated camera key, a feature that all phones should have.

Gizchina News of the week

The render that was leaked yesterday showed a dual camera setup on the back, but no other details were revealed, although there was a fingerprint scanner lying right under the cameras. The two reports contradict each other since the placement of the fingerprint scanner is different. But it seems more likely that Sony will stick to the current fingerprint placement as has been seen in many Xperia devices.

There is no word regarding the launch of the Xperia XZ2, although it might get revealed at the Mobile World Congres next year. Watch this space for more.
