HTC U11 EYEs is all set to be announced on the 15th of January, as confirmed by the manufacturer on their Weibo account. The Taiwanese manufacturer will be announcing the smartphone in three Asian countries, China, Hong Kong, and their home country, Taiwan.
The HTC U11 EYEs had leaked earlier as the HTC Ocean Harmony, which was then confirmed to carry the EYEs moniker by Evan Blass on twitter. The moniker does hint towards a camera centric smartphone. An earlier HTC smartphone with the Eye moniker, the Desire Eye, sported a massive front snapper. The press invite also sports a background that shows two camera lens, hinting towards a dual camera setup, either on the back or the front.
Earlier reports hint toward a mid range device sporting a 5.99-inch display with an 18:9 aspect ratio, with the Snapdragon 652 SoC powering it. The phone is expected to sport 4GB of RAM and 64GB of ROM. There are other reports that hint towards a more powerful Snapdragon 660 variant. The battery capacity is expected to be at 3930mAh Nd the rear camera is expected to be a 5MP+5MP setup.
The phone will be announced on the 15th of January, with a price tag that should be anywhere between 2599Yuan to 3599 Yuan.
