What! Nokia device with penta-camera in the works says a new leak

You probably thought things were getting out of hand when you heard about three cameras on an upcoming Huawei device. But wait till you hear this. A new rumour coming out of rumour valley, China, claims that Nokia is working on a phone with Penta-cameras (5 Cameras).

As soon as you talk about a super Nokia camera phone and the Nokia 808 PureView comes to mind. It was the first phone to boast of a 41 MP camera, pretty much unheard of at that time. The clock has now come full circle and it seems history is about to repeat itself. If you’re thinking that your phone chassis will be full of holes, rest assured. Nokia will be using an OZO camera -like design that will be slim to fit inside a phone. The details have still not emerged yet but the source of the leak is very close to Foxconn, Nokia’s production partner.

Moreover, the source also believes that a prototype is already made and is being tested internally by Nokia. Like we said, details are pretty sketchy but we can imagine such a device to be a very strong performer in the camera department. As for the release of the handset, the mystery penta-camera device might launch in late 2018. As for now, Nokia has promised a very eventful MWC 2018. We hope we can see a Nokia 9 there after so much time it spent in the rumour mill.
