MIUI 9.2 Rolls Out With New Features & Optimizations


MIUI 9 was released in November last year, and since then, a couple of Xiaomi devices has received this update while others are scheduled to receive it soon. However, the company has stated that 40 Xiaomi devices in all will receive the MIUI 9 update while those already on MIUI 9 are now receiving a minor update. Xiaomi recently released MIUI 9.2, and this small update comes with a couple of features and improvements.

The update mostly carries fixes for pre-existing features. However, it comes with new features like App Vault, new Gallery editor, and the Mi Video app. The changelog shows that the update also comes with fixes for the fingerprint reader, KRACK WPA2 security vulnerabilities, and a dual notification bug identified in some messaging apps like WhatsApp and Telegram were also handled

Xiaomi smartphones with MIUI 9 stable versions like Xiaomi Mi Mix 2, Redmi Note 4, Redmi 4, Redmi Y1, Redmi Y1 Lite and Redmi 5A have started receiving this update.
