Moto X4 with 6GB RAM, Android Oreo launched in India

Few months after it launched the Moto X4, Lenovo owned Motorolla has now announced a new variant of the device which would probably be limited to the Indian market. The new variant simply dubbed Moto X4 with 6GB and Android Oreo is an upgrade over the base Moto X4 which was first announced back at IFA conference 2017 with 3GB RAM, 4GB RAM, and Android Nougat.

As opposed to the base Moto X4, the new Moto X4 now ship with 6GB RAM and boots Android Oreo 8.0 out of the box. Outside of the host of features that come with Android Oreo OS, Motorola says the new device boasts of a few additional tweaks not found on the older X4 units running Oreo as of now but they will make their way to them eventually.

Outside of the aforementioned differences, the new Moto X4 with 6GB RAM and Android Oreo is virtually the same as the base Moto X4. It highlights a 3D contoured glass body fitted with a 5.2-inch Full HD (1920 x 1080) display with Corning Gorilla Glass 3 on the front and on the rear side a camera hump that includes two lenses with dual LED flash.

Powered by a 3000mAh battery, the Moto X4 uses the  Snapdragon 630 processor with 64GB storage and a dual rear camera comprising of a 12MP sensor, and an 8MP monochrome sensor with dual LED flash.

The new moto X4 with 6GB RAM is available in same Super Black and  Sterling Blue color options and is scheduled to go on sale exclusively through Flipkart and Moto Hubs in India, starting January 31, 11:59 pm IST. At It INR 24,999 ($393), the new device will go head to head with Huawei Honor 8 pro even though it has higher storage size.
