UMIDIGI Z2 will have a 3D curved scratch-resistant back panel

UMIDIGI Z2

Little bits of information pieces about the upcoming UMIDIGI flagship is finally starting to trickle in and just yesterday we learned all about the lightning fast wireless charging in the UMIDIGI Z2. Today’s update is maybe not as flashy, but still pretty important from the design perspective.

UMIDIGI Z2 will be featuring a glass back of the phone, but the makers are not content making it the 3D curved one with 4-sided curved edges and went for more. Glass panels are usually terrible fingeprint magnets and also quite often vulnerable to scratching. But with this piece UMIDIGI adopts a new tech to prevent the phone getting plagued by smudges, scratches and everything to keep the surface neat and clean. No details given yet, but probably some form of rugged oleophobic coating.

The phone is also noticably smaller than the previous mode S2 Lite despite having a bigger screen so it will be better even for the grip. Glass backs tend to be a bit slippery in hand, but once again the makers are trying assure us that is not going to be the case. Well looking forward seeing the UMIDIGI Z2 for real to know more, hopefully the wait is not going to be long.
